The visual artist Roberto Donis collected more than 70 thousand photographic documents, which were incorporated into the Jose F. Gómez Collection of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. The Donis Collection is vast and ranges from photographic archives of magazines and photographs that come from family albums to images on aviation. This first exhaustive review of the collection, carried out by artist Laureana Toledo, brings together photographs from different authors—known and unidentified—in different historical contexts, where the only narrative thread comes from the images themselves.
