This exhibition aims to shed light on the development of Lucha libre in Mexico City from the beginnings of the 20th century to the present day, in an environment encompassing the social and the political, the aesthetic and the economic. The objective is not a historical revision or chronology, but a way of approaching this sport-show as a complex phenomenon with effects on the social culture as well as the representation of the Mexican identity. The exhibit brings together a selection of images of mythical figures of lucha libre, complemented by very diverse objects: printed programs, magazines, documents, posters, clothing, masks, hair pieces, toys and handicrafts that together allow the spectators to reflect on their own experiences with the match.

Includes: Lourdes Grobet, Rosalío Vera, Agustín Casasola, Rossy Alemán, Héctor García, Juan Ponce, Antonio Caballero…
