iN-PUBLIC is a collective established in 2000 as a platform to promote and explore Fotografía de Calle (FDC) [Street Photography]. Though its base is in London, its collaborators work around the world, always tuned in to identifying atypical situations that take place in the daily hustle and bustle, both in urban and rural areas. Whether in Australia, Mexico or Poland, they all keep a sharp eye on their surroundings.
Sin Perder de Vista presents: The Sharp Eye. iN-PUBLIC in Mexico, exhibition comprised of the projection of fifteen images by each of the 22 photographers. This show provides a wide and deep panorama of iN-PUBLIC’s policies before photography. They tend to blend photographic genres through their own working methods. This position is supported by the fact that among its members, hybrid and orthodox ideologies about street photography come together. On the other hand, there is a unanimously shared concern about distributing their work in different media and circuits, including art galleries.
