The photographic work of Heinz Peter Knes (Germany, 1969) finds its starting point in the biographical, registering anonymous incursions in both urban and rural space. By playing with collective expectations of the individuals, situations and objects portrayed, the artist proposes–as part of his research–to reexamine techniques and conventions in the production of images in order to question the historic traditions of this medium.

The photographs in intimation allover are shared in their elemental form: contemplated as an image rather than as sections of a wider narrative that exceeds them. In this exhibition, Heinz Peter Knes creates a revision of his own work throughout time, moving away from predetermined categories of classification.
