The Academia de Artes Visuales holds a photography collection comprised of the works of classic and contemporary artists. Recently it has acquired new pieces, including a selection of Genesis  by Sebastião Salgado (Brazil, 1944). This project is the third in which the photographer approaches subjects related to nature and man. Over the course of eight years, Salgado traveled to remote regions to record mountains, deserts, oceans and towns.

The exhibition, on view for only one day, includes ten photographs. Possibly the largest collection of Salgado’s work in Mexico, the exhibition is a unique encounter with the work of the Brazilian artist.
